TORRINGTON – The Torrington High School golf teams hosted their annual spring golf tournament on Friday.
Cheyenne East, Laramie, Cheyenne Central, Douglas and Wheatland joined Torrington for a round of golf at the Cottonwood at Torrington Golf Course.
The Torrington boys were led by Gage Gibson who finished 16th with a round of 89. Ryder Hackbarth finished 19th one shot back of Gibson with a 90. Malaki Braddy finished the round with a 96 to finish 24th. Alex Waring finished 29th with a 101, while Boyd Oliver shot a 104 to place 33rd.
The Blazers finished fifth with a 376, while Cheyenne East won the team title with 319. Laramie was second with 329.
In the girls’ division, Sydney Eaton led the Lady Blazers with a 119 to place ninth, while Lauren Orr shot a 122 to finish 10th. Rori Masterson finished with a 143, while Carleigh Dugger shot a 149. Kaylee Pittman shot a 156.
As a team, the Lady Blazers finished the day with a 384. Cheyenne Central won the team title with a 308, while Laramie was second with a 350.
In the junior varsity ranks, Lucas Gara paced the Blazers with a 122. Will Baker and Jakob Lewellen shot a 123, while Reece Grubbs and Jack Baker shot a 146 and 165, respectively.
The Blazers head to Rawlins on Friday, May 7.
