TORRINGTON – The Torrington Lady Trailblazers suffered two losses over the last week, falling to Scottsbluff, Neb. 11-1 on Thursday and losing to conference opponent Lander 5-0 on Friday.
Against Lander, the Lady Blazers and Lady Tigers started in a stalemate. Lander broke the tie with a goal in the 26th minute and it added another goal in the 33rd minute to go up 2-0. After another goal in the 47th minute, the Lady Tigers added two goals in the final 17 minutes of the game to seal the win.
Stats for both games were unavailable to the Telegram at press time.
The back-to-back losses drop the Lady Blazers to 0-3 on the year. Falling to the Lady Tigers put Torrington at 0-1 in the conference standings early in the season. Torrington played Tuesday night at home against Gering, Neb. after the press deadline. The Lady Blazers return to action on April 5 on the road against Newcastle, with a 6 p.m. start.
