CASPER – Both Torrington High School cross country teams at the Glen Legler Memorial Cross Country Meet held at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Casper.
Blazer junior Aydan Loya paced the boys’ team with a fifth-place finish in 17 minutes, 13.28 seconds. Senior Weston Cronk finished 22nd in 19:08.03, while junior Myles Wilson was 23rd in 19:12.38. Senior Michael Sandusky placed 27th in 19:43.36, while senior Kyland Fuller was 28th in 20:11.72. Junior Colin Taylor finished 33rd in 20:51.05.
As a team, the Blazers finished third with 85 points. Natrona County won the team title with 28, while Kelly Walsh was second with 41.
In the girls’ division, sophomore Ada Merrigan led the team with a 10th-place finish in 22:29.36. Senior Tyne Stokes finished 15th in 23:21.83, while junior Amberly Froerer was 17th in 23:33.77. Freshman Tiffany Kruger placed 19th in 23:58.97, while freshman Callie Taylor was 20th in 23:59.37.
The Lady Blazers also finished third with 81 points. Natrona County won the team title with 18 points, while Kelly Walsh was second with 53.
The Blazer teams are back in action on Thursday, Sept. 30 in Bayard, Nebraska.
