Three silvers return to Goshen County

CASPER – Heavyweights Hunter Woodruff (Southeast) and Jacob Wamboldt (Torrington), along with Torrington's Tristen Kingsley all reached the championship match, resulting in three losses but three second-place finishes.

Torrington

Wamboldt and Kingsley paced Torrington in Casper over the weekend, with both posting 3-1 records and finishing second in their weight class. Jacob Polkowske (145) and Quentin Meyer (120) both finished the year with a win, taking fifth after going 4-2 on the year.

Casey Britton and Josh Kingsley both had two wins over the weekend, while six other Blazers finished with a win.

In the 3A team standings, Torrington finished ninth with 97 points. Star Valley won the team title with 267 points.

Southeast

Heavyweight Woodruff competed in the title match after starting the weekend 3-0. He suffered a loss in the championship match, finishing the tournament second.

At 106 pounds, Greg Logsdon went 4-1 on the weekend, finishing third. Brock Blevins (113) also reached the third-place match, but lost to finish fourth. Chase Lovercheck (152) and Tate Carson (182) both finished the year with a win recording a win in the fifth-place match. Rounding out the placers, Brady Tosh, at 160 pounds, and Brian Baker, at 195 pounds, finished sixth in their weight classes.

When the dust settled in the team race, Southeast finished sixth with 118 points, edging out Lovell's 113 points. With 273 points, Moorcroft won the team title.

Lingle-Fort Laramie

Zane Rising (138) was the only Dogger to place, finishing the year with a win in the third-place match, posting a 4-1 record on the weekend. At 126 pounds, Gaven Niles went 2-2, while Jessy Valentine also picked up a win.

With only one placer, the Doggers finished 18th in the team standings with 24 points, while Moorcroft won the team title with 273 points.
