TORRINGTON – Thomas Dale Anderson, fondly known as Andy, was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and cousin. He passed away at his home on July 15, 2022 at the age of 80.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22 at the First Congregational Church in Torrington with Pastor Matt Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.

Andy was born in Santa Monica, California on Jan. 5, 1942 to Warren and Frances (Critz) Anderson. As a young man, he lived a short walk from the ocean and spent much of his time on the beach swimming, playing volleyball and fishing. He attended elementary, middle school and later graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1959.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Warren Air Force base in Cheyenne.

In 1961, Andy met Patricia (Pat) Rieb in Cheyenne and they were married Nov. 24, 1962 and celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 2020. They have two sons, Scott Allen born June 19, 1963 and Thomas Dale born October 25, 1966.

They eventually settled in Colorado in 1973. Years later, Andy, together with good friends Rodney Lambertson and Jimmy Cruz, started Rebar Placing Incorporated located in Henderson, Colorado. The rebar placing company had much success for more than 30 years.

In 1984, Andy and Pat built their forever home in Brighton, Colorado. They lived out their lives sharing time with family, traveling, going to polka dances, attending National Finals Rodeos in Las Vegas and spending time at their cabin in the mountains west of Wheatland. Andy devoted much of his time outside on his property working on the yard, garden and tending to the pond. He always looked forward to hunting, fishing and playing golf with his two sons. He was very much a “People Person” and throughout the years was blessed with many wonderful and valued friends whom he loved dearly.

Andy was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife Pat and parents Warren and Frances. He is survived by his sons Scott Anderson and Tommy (Karen) Anderson of Commerce City, Colorado, granddaughters Lexi (Cal Hanks) Anderson of Arvada, Colorado and Kenna Jo Anderson of Ft. Collins, Colorado, brother Bill Anderson of Agoura Hills, California, brother-in-law Marvin (Virginia) Rieb of Torrington, sister-in-law Carol Lofink of Torrington, sister-in-law Nancy (Roy) Brewer of Onalaska, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Cindi (Kim) Griggs of Johnstown, Colorado along with numerous relatives and friends.
