TORRINGTON – As summer ends and school starts, Third Thursday remains one event people love to come and enjoy the sunshine.
What is the attraction that draws the people back? Some say it is being able to stand in the middle of Main Street and not worry about being hit by car. Others say it is the community coming together sharing the sound of music, playing games and participating in crafts projects.
To watch the people interact with each other may be the draw, the children getting involved, or learning history from the fire warden.
Whatever the reason, Third Thursday is a great time to walk in the sun and get fresh air, find that special gift for someone or just take part in a community event.
Fire engines, classic cars and the smell of good food was one of the main attractions at this Third Thursday.
