Tammy died Nov. 28, 2017, at Community Hospital in Torrington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Unit at Goshen Healthcare Community.

Tammy Dee was born Nov. 20, 1957, in Torrington to Lyle and Dee (Ochsner) Hatch. She was welcomed into the family by her two older siblings Sherry and Larry. The family moved from their ranch near Harrison, Neb., to Torrington when Tammy was two years old.

She went through school in Torrington, graduating from Torrington High School in 1975. Shortly after graduation she began working for Goshen County School District #1, where she worked until the time of her death.

She met the love of her life, Gary Korell, and they were married in April 1993. Shortly after, Kylie was born. Kylie quickly became the pride and joy of her parents. Tammy loved to attend Kylie’s sporting events. She also enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She was always the first one to lend a helping hand and the last one to leave after everything was cleaned up. In addition to watching Kylie, Tammy also enjoyed watching her great-nephew and niece Dalton and Lexie. They were like her own kids and she enjoyed cheering them on.

Tammy is survived by her husband Gary of Torrington; daughter Kylie and mother Dee Hatch of Torrington; sister Sherry Dishman of Rapid City, S.D; her nieces and nephews Dodie (Dennis) Renner, Missy (Chad) Lutz, Lynn Dishman and Stephanie (Justin) Artman; and six great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father Lyle Hatch; and her brother Larry Hatch.
