Southeast FFA completes numerous community service projects

Posted

On September 29, 2018 the Southeast FFA Chapter participated in the FFA “day of service”. With over 30 members present, they accomplished numerous projects. Part of the group made tie blankets which we will deliver when we visit the nursing home. Some built pre-fabricated bird houses for the Royal Family Kids (camp for foster children). Others fertilized trees on school grounds; thanks to Century Lumber for donating the fertilizer. Two dead trees were also removed from the school windbreak. Operation Christmas Child was another project. 24 shoe boxes were filled which we hope will bring joy to the 24 kids who will open the boxes! The chapter ended the day with a meal of hot dogs and brats!
