SHERIDAN – The Southeast High School FFA team captured second-place honors in the Farm Business Management competition in Sheridan on Wednesday, March 28th.

Southeast FFA’s Anthony Ramirez and Brady Tosh competed against almost 200 other high school students, coming from across the states of Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota to compete in this year’s contest.

The 16th annual Border Wars event gave students the opportunity to compete in one of three categories: Agricultural Sales, Environmental and Natural Resources, and Farm Business Management.

The contest events in Sheridan are similar to what the student will compete in during their respective state FFA competitions later this spring. The Wyoming state contest is scheduled for April 18-31.

This local competition was a great way for students to prepare for the spring competition as well as being able to compete with high school students in neighboring states and experience the agricultural program at Sheridan College firsthand.
