BROOKINGS, S.D. – Haley Snell of Torrington was among 41 South Dakota State nursing students inducted into the university’s chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing, during ceremonies in Brookings on April 5.
The SDSU Phi Chapter started in 1961. Snell was inducted as a Rapid City undergraduate.
Sigma Theta Tau, the second-largest nursing organization, was founded in 1922. It is dedicated to improved health worldwide by increasing the scientific basis of the nursing practice.
