I have been the sponsor of the Goshen County Eighth Grade Trip to Washington, D.C. for the last four years. During this time, I have shamelessly asked for financial help from many of our community businesses to help students afford this fantastic opportunity to learn about our capital city. The generosity has been outstanding. I feel we are lucky to live in a community where many of our local businesses are willing to give back.
The following businesses have donated to this cause for multiple years: First State Bank, Pinnacle Bank, Platte Valley Bank, Points West Community Bank, Shopko, Kelly’s Super, Main Street Market, and Torrington Livestock Market. I wanted to name these businesses because I think they deserve recognition for things they do to help our community. I know they help numerous other organizations and events throughout our community as well.
