Several hunting enthusiasts drove from Alliance and Hyannis, Neb., Sunday to participate in the Shooting for Conservation event, which was sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation. Kendall Huss, 14, in the red shirt, was accompanied by his father, Dave; uncle, Devon Walker; and Lee Jerke. Jason Tarwater, NWTF regional director said 15 people had participated at Torrington. According to Tarwater, funds raised by the day’s shoot will be used to promote the organization’s goals. He said there was a lot interest to do it again next year. Tracking the scoring is Damon Hoff, with the Goshen County Sportsmans Club.
