TORRINGTON – Sandra J. Long, 87, of Torrington and formerly of Kimball, died at the Goshen Healthcare Community on Aug. 15, 2021. Following her wishes, cremation has been held and there will be no services held. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Sandra’s Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for the family. Sandra Jane Long was born in Aurora, Nebraska on Dec. 1, 1933, the daughter of John and Nellie (Eggert) Carlson. She attended school in Mullen and graduated in 1951. Sandra was married to Gerald Long in Mullen, Nebraska on Oct. 23, 1953. Sandra worked for Abbott Bank as a secretary and teller.
Survivors include her husband Gerald Long of Torrington; son John Long of Torrington; daughters Leann (Ron) Dooley of Cheyenne, and Darlene (Mike) Moorhous of Gillette; sister Janis (Don) Marshall of Cody, Nebraska; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
