LYMAN, Neb. – Roy Leon Sanches, age 53, of Lyman, passed away Feb. 5, 2023, at Regional West Medical Center. Burial of the urn will take place at a later date. Fond memories and online condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com

Roy was born at home in Zenia, California, to Ray Sanches Jr. and Annie Goldie (Price) Sanches, the youngest of seven children. He received his early education in Carson City, Nevada, until eighth grade, and he graduated from Tehachapi High School, after which he received his associates in welding. He loved working, building fences, welding, and helping others. He had five children who he was very proud of, and he loved them all dearly. His two best friends, Kenny Barnes and Zeke Rodriguez, were like brothers to him and they enjoyed many good times together. He was loved by his sisters, nieces, nephews, and children. His voice and laugh will never be forgotten. 

The Sanches family would like to extend a special thanks to the Goodroe’s of Lyman for loving Roy, even when he couldn’t love himself. 

Survivors include his sisters, RaeAnna Lowery (Ross Burgess) of Zenia, California, and Roanna Sanches (Joseph Spears) of Torrington, Wyoming; sister-in-law, Kay Lynn Sanches of Washington; stepbrothers, Wayne and Stacy Bunson; stepsister, Stormie Baker of California; children, Tyler Sanches, Jackie (Sanches) Likewise, Steven (Mesha) Sanches, and Jesi May (Sanches) Anson; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmothers, Gloria Sanches Susa and Libby Ann (Davis) Sanches; grandparents, Elizabeth Price and Ray Sanches Sr.; siblings, Roger Lee Sanches, Robin Leanne (Sanches) Ledbetter, Randy Leland Sanches, and Rosalind Leilani Sanches; daughter, Andé Sanches; and grandson, Steven Sanches.
