TORRINGTON – Reverend Mr. Nicholas Vetter, 2013 graduate of Torrington High School, will be ordained into the Sacred Priesthood of Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic Church, June 11th, 2021 in Bismarck, N.D.
After graduating from Torrington High School, Deacon Nicholas graduated from Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington with an Associate of Science degree. Deacon Nicholas continued his education at Saint John Paul II Seminary from the Catholic University of America where he received his Bachelor of Philosophy degree in 2017. Deacon Nicholas was then accepted to continue his seminary studies at the Pontifical North American College, while attending the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas to finish his theological studies. Here, Deacon Nicholas received his Bachelor of Sacred Theology degree.
Deacon Nicholas has completed 7.5 years of formation for the sacred priesthood, studying for the Diocese of Bismarck. After ordination in June, Deacon Nicholas will begin his respective assignments at St. Mary Pro-Cathedral and chaplain of St. Mary Central High School in Bismarck, N.D. Deacon Nicholas looks forward to visiting Torrington June 16-20 and celebrating mass at St. Rose Catholic Church. To watch his ordination mass, it will be livestreamed on the Diocese of Bismarck website and the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit website.
