JJ was born August 31, 1969, in Torrington, the son of Raymond and Rebecca (Santillanes). He was the sixth child born to the couple. He attended school in Torrington and held many jobs there following graduation. A few jobs included Anderson Construction, the sod farm, G&L Concrete and Aulick Leasing. JJ met Billie Brothwell and from this union two children were born, Chelsie and Jacob. His children and grandchildren were the joy of his life. He loved spending most of his time with them. JJ enjoyed listening to Spanish and country music. He also had a passion for hunting, motorcycles and cars. JJ would often be seen at local restaurants laughing with family and friends. If anyone ever needed help, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, even if it was only advice.

He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Survivors include his two children, Chelsie and Jacob; four grandchildren, Dakari, Micklo, Naviina, and Ezekiel; three sisters, Renee, RaeLynn and Rodessa; two brothers, Rodney (Teresa) and Rorick and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and one niece.

You took our hearts with you. You will be greatly missed. Your journey is done, it’s time to rest. Until we meet again. We love you.
