BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING
Tuesday January 3, 2023
The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 10:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners Chambers with the following members present Commissioner Justin Burkart, Commissioner Aaron Walsh, Commissioner Michael McNamee, and Mary Feagler, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board
Former Chairman of the Board of Commissioners John Ellis was present. He spoke regarding the roll of being County Commissioner. He discussed reorganization of the duties of the members of the board of Commissioner. He conducted filling the position for Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. Aaron Walsh moved to nominate Michael McNamee as Chairman, seconded and passed. Commissioner Michael McNamee moved to nominate Commissioner Justin Burkart as Vice Chairman, moved and passed.
The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the minutes, seconded and passed Commissioner Walsh moved to approve the agenda, seconded and passed.
Clerk of Court Brandi Correa presented her monthly earnings report in the amount of $ $4,424.25. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Clerk of District Court report, seconded and passed.
The Road and Bridge report was presented by Road Administrator Dane Bolzer, County Surveyor Bob Taylor, and County Planner Mike Tietjen. Commissioner Michael McNamee moved to accept the Road and Bridge report, seconded and passed.
County Assessor Debbi Surratt presented Reduction Orders in the amount of $1,513.04 Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the Tax Reduction Orders presented, seconded and passed.
County Clerk Mary Feagler presented her monthly reports. The monthly earnings report for the County Clerk’s Office is $11,733.50. County Clerk Mary Feagler presented the Mid- December Warrant report, and January Warrant reports. Commissioner Burkart moved to approved the Mid-December and January reports as submitted, seconded and passed. Mary spoke to the Commissioners sincerely on her appreciation in her new role as the Goshen County Clerk. She has appointed Candace Wardell to be her Deputy.
Fire Warden Bill Law presented his monthly report. The Emergency Manager report was presented by Interim Emergency Manager Chuck Kenyon via e-mail. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Emergency Manager and Fire Warden reports, seconded and passed.
Douglas Youngfield was present for public comment he spoke regarding the lighting at the Jay Em turn off on Highway 85 and RD 8. The Board of Commission discussed the pros and cons of financing the monthly service for a light no action was taken.
