BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING
Tuesday Sept 20, 2022
    
The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners Chambers with the following members present Chairman John Ellis, Commissioner Justin Burkart and Cindy Kenyon, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board.  Vice Chairman Cody Cox was absent. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Burkart     moved to approve the revised agenda and the minutes of the last meeting, seconded and passed.
Chairman Ellis and County Planner Mike Tietjen informed the Commission and public about a recent tour to Carbon County to discuss wind farm projects. Several Goshen County representatives attended the tour.

County Health Officer Dr. Ted Church spoke regarding the current bivalent Covid vaccine and the status of Goshen County health officer concerns. Flu vaccine should be available in October.
County Treasurer Leticia Dominguez presented her monthly report and requested a travel credit card for her office. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Treasurer’s report and allow the Treasurer to obtain a travel credit card for her office, seconded and passed.
County Clerk of District Court Brandi Correa updated the Commission on an audit of her bank accounts and draft bills to be heard in the upcoming legislative session. County Attorney Eric Boyer also spoke in support of the audit. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Clerk of Court report, seconded and passed.
County Assessor Debbi Surratt presented a reduction order in the amount of $106.50.  Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the reduction order as presented, seconded and passed.
Library board member Dee Ludwig updated the Commissioners on events at the Library. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Library report, seconded and passed.
County Clerk Cindy Kenyon presented the Clerks monthly report. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the updated warrant report, seconded and passed. The County Clerk presented federal fire payment vouchers. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the federal fire payment vouchers as presented, seconded and passed. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the County Clerks report, seconded and passed.
Lt. Wes Deen presented the Sheriff’s report. The earnings reports for the month of July is $1295.00 and August is $1165.00. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Sheriff’s Commissary and Earnings reports, seconded and passed.
Wyoming Homeland Security Deputy Director George M. Nykum Jr. and Preparedness Section Chief Spencer Pollock attended the meeting to present an overview of County Emergency Management duties.
 The Commission adjourned at 11:08 am. The next regular meeting will be Oct 4, 2022 at the usual place and time. (approved for publication)
