GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING

The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners Chambers with the following members present Chairman John Ellis, Vice Chairman Cody Cox, Commissioner Justin Burkart and Cindy Kenyon, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting, special meeting minutes and the agenda, seconded and passed.
The Road and Bridge report was accepted from County Surveyor Bob Taylor, County Planner Mike Tietjen and Road Superintendent Valerie Hankins. County surveyor Bob Taylor presented the Wenger Subdivision plat for consideration with a recommendation of do pass from the Goshen County Planning Commission. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the Final Plat of the Wenger Subdivision, seconded and passed. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the road report, seconded and passed.
Clerk of Court Brandi Correa presented her monthly earnings report in the amount of $3430.78 and the contract between the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) and Goshen County to receive child support payments. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the DFS contract for receiving child support, seconded and passed. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept the Clerk of District Court report, seconded and passed.
County Assessor Debbi Surratt presented a tax reduction order in the amount of $275.93. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the reduction order as presented, seconded and passed.
County Clerk Cindy Kenyon presented her monthly report. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the warrants for payment, seconded and passed. The Clerk presented three employee bonds for approval. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the employee bonds, seconded and passed. The monthly earnings report for the County Clerk’s Office is $19238.00. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the Clerks earnings report, seconded and passed. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the Clerk’s report, seconded and passed.
Fire Warden Bill Law presented his monthly report. Emergency Manager Shelly Kirchhefer presented her monthly report. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the Fire Warden and Emergency Manager report, seconded and passed.
The Commissioners reviewed the contract between the Wyoming Department of Corrections (WYDOC) for housing inmates. Commissioner Burkart recused himself from voting since he works for the Wyoming Department of Corrections and it may be a conflict of interest. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the WYDOC contract as presented, seconded and passed.
The Commissioners reviewed the contract between the University of Wyoming (UW) and Goshen County to lease two offices at the Extension Building to UW employees for $6000 per year. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the lease agreement as presented, seconded and passed.
