ADVERTISEMENT (NOTICE TO BIDDERS)
Notice is hereby given that Goshen County School District No. 1 will receive sealed bids at the GCSD Central Administration Building for the ”2021 THS Parking Lot Reconstruction” project until 10:00 a.m. Local Time on Thursday, December 17, 2020. The work is described in the plans and specifications and on the bid schedule, and consists of the following major quantities (approximately) to re-pave the main parking lot:
Remove Bituminous Pavement 8,000 SY
Remove Concrete Surfacing 353 SY
Remove & Stockpile Base 954 CY
Replace Base Material (4” or 6” depth) 8,581 SY
6” Concrete Pavement OR 4” Hot Plant Mix Bituminous Pavement 8,581 SY
The project also includes an alternate to re-pave the main driveway/visitor parking. In addition, there will be striping, signage, flexible delineators, and various other minor items as listed on the bid schedule. Bid forms, specifications, and plans may be obtained either in digital or hard copy format from BenchMark of Torrington, P.C., 119 East 19th Avenue, Torrington, Wyoming, 82240, (307) 532-3811 or by emailing [email protected] upon payment of $75.00 per set for hard copy or $25.00 per set for digital copy, non-refundable. Bid documents may be inspected at the above listed office from 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. Local Time on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the GCSD Central Administration Building. It is recommended, but not mandatory, that all bidders interested in this project attend the pre-bid conference. In order to bid this project, the Bidder’s name must appear on the list of plan holders held by BenchMark of Torrington, P.C.
Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided in accordance with the contract documents. “...the contract shall be let to the responsible certified resident making the lowest bid if the certified resident’s bid is not more than five percent (5%) higher than that of the lowest responsible nonresident bidder.” (WY Statute 16-6-102) “Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state.” (WY Statute 16-6-106).
This work will be performed on school grounds and therefore the successful bidder shall not employee any workers on this job who are registered sex offenders. There shall be no tobacco or alcohol use on school grounds.
The sealed bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope “2021 THS Parking Lot Reconstruction.” THE BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 10:00 a.m. Local Time on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
