The Goshen County Economic Development Corporation released its Progress Program fund disbursement for the first quarter of their fiscal year on Friday, Nov. 2. According to a press release from GCEDC Marketing and Operations Director Sondra Dent, Progress Programs include capital matching, community enhancement, and infrastructure investment funds.
Applications are received and reviewed by a committee consisting of community members, GCEDC board members and staff. Final approval is awarded by the GCEDC Board of Directors.
The Capital Matching awards totaled $29,333.75 included:
n $3,150 Open Barrel Brewing Company for remodel of back of building
n $7,500 532, LLC siding and signage of building
n $3,683.75 BDG Resources for painting of exterior of building
n $5,000 Ms. Lorri Car Wash for signage
n $10,000 Valley Motor Supply siding and signage
n $5,000 J Built Homes for signage and landscaping
Community Enhancement projects included $11,500.00 in awards for:
n $1,500 City of Torrington for Main Street Sound System
n $10,000 Goshen HELP for food pantry sustainability
Infrastructure projects included $20,000 in awards for:
n $20,000 Town of Yoder for water storage tank project
