Goshen County trio make 1A All-State team

CASPER – The Wyoming Coaches Association released its All-State and All-Conference teams last week.

Two Southeast Lady Cyclones earned Class 1A All-State honors, and one member of the Lingle-Fort Laramie Lady Dogger team earned all-state accolade, while a total of eight players earned a spot on the All-Conference list.

Southeast senior Jordan Stoddard and junior Brenna Herring earned All-State honors.

Stoddard was second on the Lady Cyclone team with 182 kills for the season while leading the team with 64 blocks. She served up 22 aces and tallied 251 digs for the season. Herring was third in kills with 170 and second in aces with 37. She also tallied 47 blocks, 218 digs and had 323 assists.

Southeast also had junior Sydney Anderson, senior Grace Desmond, junior Shelby Ekwall join Stoddard and Herring on the 1A Southeast All-Conference team.

For Lingle-Fort Laramie, junior setter Baylee Skinner earned 1A All-State honors. Skinner led the Lady Doggers with 41 aces and 416 assists. She also second on the team in digs with 225.

Skinner was joined by sophomore Natalie Speckner on the 1A Southeast All-Conference team.

In Class 3A, Reece Halley was the lone Torrington Lady Blazer to receive postseason awards, making the 3A East All-Conference team.
