April 15

12:28 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East F Street, Torrington – Caller reported what sounded like a party in a neighboring apartment; Caller said there was screaming, loud talking and banging on the walls; Caller said the noise woke their son.

8 a.m. – Prowler, Road 56, Torrington – Caller said she and her husband heard noises while in bed over night; Said someone came in through the front door and part-way up the stairs, but they didn’t see anyone; They heard the unknown individual come in and go out, slamming the door when they left.

9:14 a.m. – Assist the public, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Check on a tent at the southeast end of the park; Report required.

10:28 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East B Street, Torrington – Caller requesting to speak to a deputy referencing a bullet that broke out a window at the residence.

11:16 a.m. – Assist the public, Hwy. 85, LaGrange – Caller trying to get ahold of some friends from LaGrange; Requested an officer contact them, give them a return phone number and ask them to call.

12:24 p.m. – Community contact, West 21st Avenue and West C Street, Torrington – Checked parks for juveniles smoking, also checked the mini-trail; All clear.

1:48 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported receiving scam telephone calls from the IRS; Requested calls be documented.

3:08 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East A Street, Torrington – Caller said they can hear a lot of screaming from a residence to the north; Caller wasn’t sure of the address of the residence.

4:49 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Linda Vista Road, Torrington – Caller said their daughter received a threatening telephone call from another girl; Last name unknown.

6:41 p.m. – Assist the public, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported their dog locked the car door with caller’s 5-year-old niece in the vehicle; Requested someone to come unlock the vehicle.

6:42 p.m. – Assist the public, call to Torrington PD – Caller requesting to know if an unnamed subject had any warrants; The caller was placed on hold while dispatcher answered other calls and disconnected the call.

8:09 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Meet caller in lobby of Lancer Hall at EWC; Report a minor student may have alcohol in their room.

April 16

12:24 a.m. – Assist other agency, Call to Torrington PD – Re. Platte County Dispatch, be on lookout for male subject, name not provided, ref. an assault in a bar in Guernsey; Subject reportedly assaulted a female and left, unknown direction of travel, but possibly headed toward Torrington, possibly intoxicated.

9:58 a.m. – Animal call, East Valley Road, Torrington – Report of a cat trapped under the building, requesting help getting it out.

11:06 a.m. – Animal call, Rio Vista Road, Torrington – Request to speak to an officer ref. a dog problem in the neighborhood.

1:11 p.m. – Code violation, Alta Vista Road, Torrington – Officer initiated – tree blocking stop sign.

1:25 p.m. – Assist the public, East F Street, Torrington – Caller requesting to speak to an officer ref. their son misbehaving and running away from home.

4:42 p.m. – Traffic violation, Main Street, Torrington – Caller said they thought an intoxicated customer left in their truck.

7:16 p.m. – Harassment, West A Street, Torrington – Caller reported a female drove by her and made an obscene gesture with her finger; Caller said the woman had been warned to stay away from her since an assault incident.

9:54 p.m. – Animal call, Road 47, Torrington – Caller said their ex agreed to watch his animals until he got his own place and now is refusing to return them, stating he abandoned them; one dog and 13 cats.

April 17

4:41 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Officer initiated, out with individual sleeping in the park.

6:42 a.m. – Assist the public, East F Street, Torrington – Caller reported they had a male friend at their apartment, was not violent, but was “freaking out” and requested assistance.

7:41 a.m. – Assist the public, Call to TPD – Caller reported he received an email, requesting money to delete an email; Caller said he knew it was a scam, just wanted law enforcement to be aware; Scam email came from his email address.

7:50 a.m. – Assis the public, Freimuth Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a “bad smell” coming from the residence to the rear. No further information.

10:12 a.m. – Disturbance, East B Street, Torrington – Caller said their kid’s dad’s mom refused to give the caller back her watch and she left with the watch.

11:12 a.m. – Assis the public, West B Street, Torrington – Caller requested an officer to speak to a 4-year-old about stealing.

11:58 a.m. – Traffic violations, West C Street, Torrington – Caller said, when he takes his grandson lunch every day, people aren’t stopping for people in the crosswalk in front of the high school.

2:22 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, call to TPD – Caller at unidentified location said a man came into the building and started recording everything; Requested an officer to come check it out.

3:53 p.m. – Parking complaint, West E Street and West 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Reported of three or four trucks parked facing west on the south side of the street, bottlenecking traffic to one lane, blocking view of oncoming traffic from the east.

5:48 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, call to TPD – Caller would not give name or address, said he lived in Yoder; Reported kids ran across his property earlier, the dog was barking at them and caller said the kids looked in his window; Caller didn’t want to file charges, but said, if they did it again, he would.

9:49 p.m. – REDDI, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported the driver of a tan Nissan Maxima driving from bar to bar; Unknown direction of travel, unknown when it will leave; Caller said the driver was either in the Mint Bar or the Bronco Bar at time of call.

10:02 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported “an odor of pot” in Eastern Hall at EWC; Caller said they’d meet the officer on scene.

April 18

9:03 a.m. – Assist the public, East Valley Road, Torrington – Gas drive off; Female in black, four-door vehicle, westbound on East Valley Road toward town.

12:50 p.m. – Assist the public, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported being harassed via the internet by unknown individual claiming to be a law enforcement officer; Requested an officer to come speak to him, said he’s had previous issues with scammers online.

5:46 p.m. – Assist the public, Road 45 V, Torrington – Reporting a telephone call captured on answering machine, saying they would be deducting $299 from the recipient’s account; Caller said they didn’t owe anyone any money; Said the message was muffled, so they couldn’t tell exactly what they said they were calling from.

8:22 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a female got into their vehicle, stating she is being abused and is afraid she was going to be killed; Female described as in her 50s, wearing black, with thin scars on her face.

April 19

2:48 a.m. – Assist the public, West C Street, Torrington – Caller said a neighbor was playing his music very loud; Caller didn’t want to give his name and said he didn’t want any trouble, just requested an officer to ask the neighbor to turn the music down; Gone on arrival.

1:24 p.m. – Suspicious person, East 25th Avenue, Torrington – Report of a woman asking numerous people for a ride, standing out in the middle of the road; Caller said the woman “does not seem in good condition,” wearing a long, blue plaid shirt and baggy pants.

4:31 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Hit and run, caller reported someone hit her car.

5:37 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requesting to speak to an officer; Said has a motorcycle that’s supposed to be in storage, but received reports it’s being ridden around town.

7:13 p.m. – Assist the public, West 24th Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to an unidentified officer, “because he is very awesome and has set the (caller) straight before;” Requested to use the alley access.

8:08 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a scam call, saying he was “in trouble” and was going to be arrested; Caller said he’s hard of hearing and didn’t understand much of what was said.

April 20

6:20 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East C Street, Torrington – Caller said she’s upset because “they” moved her from Nebraska and got in trouble for not having plates changed; Her neighbor moved from Colorado and still has Colorado plates; Also, the subject has put beer bottles in the yard and other trash, as well as on the parking so close to their vehicles, they cannot get out.

7:18 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East C Street, Torrington – Caller reported a short male with combed-back hair, wearing a black shirt and black pants, gave children candy; Individual last seen headed north then one block west.

10:02 p.m. – Trespass, East 27th Avenue, Torrington – Caller said they’re hearing someone in the yard; Thinks noise is coming from either the camper or the garage, requested an officer to search the camper and the garage; Caller said they’re home alone with a small child.

April 21

12:13 a.m. – Traffic violations, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Call from an anonymous caller with a blocked number, reporting a white Dodge truck driving recklessly “all over South Torrington.”

10:09 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported a black, Chevy Caviler in the parking lot of the business; Said a male in a yellow workers coat got out of the vehicle and pulled his hood over his head and started walking toward the caller while caller closed the building; Caller to into their car and drove off, at which time the Chevy reportedly drove around the building and reparked in the parking lot.
