Aug. 24
3:15 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Niobrara Street, Torrington – Report of someone trying to break into a car.
5:55 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported finding screen door broken and front door open on the residence when arriving home; reported apparently nothing missing; intruder “touched stuff.”
8:18 p.m. – Grass fire, U.S. Hwy. 26, Lingle – Report lightning struck a utility pole and in a field.
Aug. 25
1:27 p.m. – Animal call, U.S. Hwy. 85, LaGrange – Black cow in the ditch on the west side of the road grazing.
3:57 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller said he forgot his wallet at the gas station and it was gone when he returned.
5:45 p.m. – Assault, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported their brother was assaulted; no additional information
provided.
10:02 p.m. – Animal call, officer-initiated, Lingle-Veteran Road, Lingle – Cow in road.
