Sept. 14
5:55 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Suspicious black man writing down license plate numbers and asking for money from employees/customers.
11:17 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Westfield Storage, U.S. Hwy. 26/85, Torrington – Locks cut off several storage units.
11:56 a.m. – Vandalism, East B Street, Torrington – Caller reported an antique crock was broken, sometime during the night; Caller said they have a suspect in mind.
4:26 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, call to Torrington Police Dept., Torrington – Caller advised he opened a piece of spam email that was in his regular email inbox and not in the spam box; Caller was advised he needs to select the message and mark it as spam.
8:24 p.m. – Assist the public, Fremont Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported the lights at the baseball field are on and they want to know why.
Sept. 15
1:54 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported people all around a trailer; Was worried it was possibly a party.
6:42 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported a possible attempt to break into a camper; Caller said the door looked like it was bent.
4:27 p.m. – Traffic violations, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported children riding bicycles in and out of traffic; Children turned south on West C Street.
5:49 p.m. – Assist the public, Crestview Drive, Torrington – Caller said her son is “strung out on drugs” and put his fist through a wall; Son reportedly has a history of violent behavior and threatened to kill animals in the home; Asked him to leave and he refused, asked what they can do.
Sept. 16
1:03 a.m. – Disturbance, Main Street, Torrington – Unidentified persons fighting; Subjects gone on arrival.
1:31 p.m. – Assist the public, U.S. Hwy. 26/85, Torrington – Caller requesting information regarding any accident reports in the previous week; Said a fence was torn down and someone had apparently driven through the yard.
Sept. 17
12:27 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 19th Avenue, Torrington – Officers advised a caller to go to their home and call to have them come and look at a vehicle that was keyed.
1 p.m. – Assist the public, East A Street, Torrington – Unidentified female caller requested a call from a deputy regarding questions on properties in South Torrington.
2:42 p.m. – Traffic violation, call to TPD, Torrington – Caller advised a male driving a black Jeep was tailgating, then went around the block and came back, allegedly trying to start a fight; Caller refused to leave his name, saying he only wanted the incident documented.
3:54 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East B Street, Torrington – Caller requested officer to search his vehicle after he lent it to someone.
8:38 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Customer requesting officer to press charges for theft.
8:49 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East J Street, Torrington – Caller reportedly at their mother’s house to pick up their son and their mother will not let them take the child.
9:16 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East J Street, Torrington – Caller requested officer; wanted to file charges of kidnapping against an unidentified woman because she won’t let them have their son.
10:13 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East C Street, Torrington – Caller requested officers to come search his car; Caller believes his soon to be ex-wife’s friends are attempting to plant drugs in it.
Sept. 18
10:05 a.m. – Animal call, Hwy. 26/85, Lingle – Report from Highway Patrol of a pot-bellied pig running around Lingle.
1:20 p.m. – Suspicious person, U.S. Hwy. 26/85, Lingle – Report of a person walking on the tracks east of Lingle; Subject gone on arrival.
6:55 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East J Street, Torrington – Caller requested officers to come to his house; Said he was agitated and was handcuffed sitting on his deck.
7:56 p.m. – Harassment, Call to TPD, Torrington – Woman reported being harassed via social media; Requested officers instruct male suspect to stop, saying he’d created a false account.
Sept. 19
8:49 a.m. – Assist the public, West C Street, Torrington – Report of a person with a sword by the Fine Arts Building at Eastern Wyoming College.
10:17 a.m. – Disturbance, West E Street, Torrington – Caller reported boys shoving each other on the school bus.
12 p.m. – Assist the public, West C Street, Torrington – Caller had question on what to do if they suspected there was violence between two partners.
4:32 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West B Street, Torrington – Caller said their next-door neighbor was approached by an unidentified person handing out fliers; Caller said they were concerned person was approaching other females.
Sept. 20
8:52 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 28th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a man in the red Grand Am has been parked outside the building off and on the previous few days; Caller said he never exits the car, hopes he’s using Domino’s free wireless internet, but still finds it odd.
9:59 a.m. – Assist the public, West 22nd Avenue and West A Street, Torrington – Caller requesting extra patrols at the intersection when school busses stop to unload; Caller reported that other motorists are not stopping for the students as they cross
the street.
