Aug. 17
12:22 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Report of two men cursing and yelling at each other about cattle; sounds like someone is beating on a door; Gone on arrival.
12:27 A.M. – Suspicious circumstances, East C Street, Torrington – Report someone tried to break into their children’s back window.
10:46 a.m. – Grass fire, U.S. Hwy. 26, Fort Laramie – Report of grass fire, south side of irrigation canal.
5:47 p.m. – Assist the public, to Torrington Police Dept. – Caller said they’re working with a group of scientists during the eclipse; had questions regarding pulling off the highway near Jay Em.
6:01 p.m. – Car fire, State Hwy. 157, Lingle – Report of a feed truck on fire west of Lingle.
9:26 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Lingle – Report of children on a roof throwing rocks.
11:08 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West A Street, Torrington – Report of four juveniles attempting to break into an abandoned house by crawling through a window.

Aug. 18
9:57 a.m. – Assist the public, to TPD, Torrington – Caller had concerns about an inmate, recently released from penitentiary in Rawlins, who’s trying to contact her.
2:14 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported the side door under the covered area was slightly ajar; The caller said they’d pulled it shut, then two young males approached and attempted to open it.
3:14 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Tea Kettle Road near Van Tassell Road – Report of a pickup and camper parked on the side of the road.
3:37 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle, Road 72, Torrington – Caller reported a camper parked near the canal; advised they’re not allowed to camp there.
3:57 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East B Street, Torrington – Caller reported multiple telephone calls from individuals claming to be from the Internal Revenue Service.
4:54 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported finding a cigarette pack with rolled cigarettes; Worried it may be joints.
5:24 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East G Street, Torrington – Caller reported her front door was wide open and the back gate was taken apart and removed from the hinge when she came home.
8:39 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Report of someone shining a green laser point at airplanes flying by; Gone on arrival.
8:58 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Big Horn Street, Torrington – Caller reported a loud smashing sound and a girl screaming coming from a nearby home.

9:48 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 20th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported children propping their feet on the fender of a green pickup; Caller believed truck didn’t belong to any of them.

Aug. 19
11:35 a.m. – Assist the public, East I Street, Torrington – Caller said they’re trying to teach a friend how to ride a motorcycle; requesting information where they could know where they could go that’s off city streets.
11:47 a.m. – Assist the public, West 26th Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested assistance putting a parking permit in their window.
2:45 p.m. – Parking complaint, West C Street/West 21st Avenue, Torrington – Report of a car in front of the fire hall with a garage sale sign on it; Caller doesn’t think it should be parked there.
5:23 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Report of a man with a gun walking down Main Street in a trench coat.

Aug. 20
1:14 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported a man screaming racial obscenities.
4:05 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West B Street, Torrington – Caller reported two females sitting on the corner across from her home; reportedly lots of activity in and out of the house all night and the front porch is all lit up.
3:40 p.m. – Traffic violations, Yoder – Caller reported excess traffic at intersection of Highway 85 and Highway 92; Reportedly pulling over onto the side of the road and can’t get through.
6:17 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Van Tassel Road, Torrington – Caller reported someone “making explosions” in a field; Caller wasn’t sure what they were using.
7:19 p.m. – Trespassing, Road 45 and Hwy. 26 – Caller said there were several people with cameras on the railroad tracks, including at least one tripod in the middle of the tracks; County units notified and headed that way.
8:32 p.m. – Vandalism, Crestview Drive, Torrington – Caller reported his vehicle had been vandalized; There was a dent in the bed of the truck and someone threw an egg at it.

Aug. 21
12:24 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Union Pacific Railroad, Torrington – Report of a car full of people sleeping in the right-of-way; requested to have them moved.
7:08 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, County Line Road, Fort Laramie – People parked and camped along the road clear to Fort Laramie.
8:30 a.m. – Trespassing, Van Tassel Road, Torrington – Caller advised people parking and camping in his pasture.
9:28 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Lingle-Veteran Road, Lingle – People swimming in an irrigation canal southwest of Lingle.
10:41 a.m. – Trespassing, Tea Kettle Road and Van Tassel Road, Torrington – Requested officer to remove trespassers on Tea Kettle Rock.
6:20 p.m. – Assist the public, to TPD, Torrington – Call to 9-1-1 to complain about the traffic on Hwy. 85; Caller was advised traffic was backed up all the way to Cheyenne.

Aug. 22
11:19 a.m. – Animal call, East 25th Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to an officer regarding a neighbor’s dog, which keeps jumping the fence and trying to get into her yard.
1:06 p.m. – Civil problem, East B Street, Torrington – Caller said they had issues with a couch purchased via social media.
10:03 p.m. – Disturbance, East 17th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported children playing spin-the-bottle; Gone on arrival.

Aug. 23
8:50 a.m. – Harassment, Road 45V, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to a deputy regarding possible harassment.
2:47 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported their vehicle was egged.
4:41 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East F Street, Torrington – Caller requested to talk about a call from the Internal Revenue Service.
5:43 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, To TPD, Torrington – Caller needed to speak to someone regarding his home in Laramie being broken in to; Has been reported to Laramie police, said suspect lives in Torrington.
6:11 p.m. – Weapon, East A Street, Torrington – Caller said her “husband” had just threatened her with a black and silver handgun.
11:37 p.m. – Explosives, U.S. Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Caller reported possible ammonium nitrate in a unit.
