Aug. 10
1:27 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 23rd Avenue, Torrington – Two people running, ducked in to a yard; Gone on arrival.
7:56 a.m. – Animal call, Lingle-Veteran Road, Lingle – Caller reported striking two antelope; animals injured on side of highway need to be put down.
9:09 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Children unattended in vehicle.
10:36 a.m. – Assist the public, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported a passenger almost hit by unidentified subject driving a Senior Center van while attempting to exit a parked vehicle on Aug. 9.
11:07 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller advised the homeless guy from Missouri is outside Java Jar rolling a joint.
11:32 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Individual at Eastern Wyoming College reported receiving a phone call from someone pretending to be a police officer; stated they were going to start an investigation.
1:19 p.m. – Assist the public, Industrial Park Avenue, Torrington – Caller reportedly paid for services to fix equipment; Said it’s been more than 90 days and they’re unable to reach the individual, requested to speak to an officer.
3:40 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, U.S. Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Caller reported a male teen asked them to contact someone for help while they were walking eastbound, wearing fatigues; Caller said the subject was vague and wouldn’t say why they needed help.
3:57 p.m. – East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested information regarding an officer’s call to her 18 year old daughter and about favoritism played in this town; Said the daughter’s ex-boyfriend has been harassing her for weeks and when her daughter gave proof to an officer, he said there was nothing he could do.
4:52 p.m. – Assist the public, East 3rd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported neighbors leaving their basketball hoop in the street, even in the evening; Requested officer tell them to move it.
9:44 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle, U.S. Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Caller reported a white pickup behind their building with the headlights on; Caller said its been sitting there every night for several weeks.
Aug. 11
12:29 a.m. – Prowler, U.S. Hwy. 26185, Torrington – Caller reported unknown subject “messing around the side of the house.” Subject left five minutes prior to call on foot, wearing possibly all black with white shoes.
6:45 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle, Kaspiere Road, Fort Laramie – Anonymous caller reported an older, gray SUV parked on the east side of the road, unknown if occupied; Caller believed it may be drug activity.
10:05 a.m. – Assist the public, Road 55F, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to a deputy regarding an apparent scam phone call she received.
12:51 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 25th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported four to five children on top of a building.
