Aug. 3
5:42 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Possible larceny.
7:32 a.m. – Animal call, West A Street, Torrington – Report of three opossums, adult and two juvenile, attempting to attack caller and dogs.
8:41 a.m. – Animal call, U.S. Hwy. 26/85, Torrington – Report of a pen of roping steers in back of the Sunshine Arena, reportedly very thin. Water and hay in area but caller said never fed to them.
10:04 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Crest Drive, Torrington – Caller reported a neighbor is dumping trash on their property; caller would not be home until after noon but requested a deputy stop by at that time.
2:14 p.m. – Assist the public, to Torrington Police Dept. – Caller, a Scottsbluff, Neb., resident, requested information on open carry legality.
2:44 p.m. – Assist the public, Albany Avenue, Torrington – Caller complained neighbor parking wherever he wants to with a truck leaking oil; caller said they’ve confronted the neighbor previously and requested to speak with an officer.
4:31 p.m. – Assist the public, Road 25H, Lingle – Caller said going to sell a weapon that has a history attached to it, has question regarding the sale.
4:52 p.m. – Animal call, East 20th Avenue, Torrington – Caller said they took a sheep inside and slaughtered it; had questions about legality of doing so within the city limits.
Aug. 4
1:27 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East E Street, Torrington – Possible stolen bicycle.
2:19 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 20th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reportedly working in the theater, believed two men were trying to break into the building; Unknown if subjects are still in area.
1:38 p.m. – Animal call, West A Street, Torrington – Caller complained about a neighbor’s dog barking
2:01 p.m. – Assist the public, East B Street, Torrington – Caller reportedly bought a car from their daughter, requesting to speak to an officer regarding issues with the sale.
3:49 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, to TPD, Torrington – Caller said two men with a large dog keep going back and forth in front of her home, letting the dog run in her yard; Said when she came out of the house to confront them, they left.
7:13 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Road 45V, Torrington – Caller reported a white Suburban with Colorado license; four or five men in the vehicle, reportedly going door-to-door trying to get people to let them shampoo their carpets.
