OMAHA, Neb. – Paul Carlton West, 61, passed away June 24, 2021, due to liver cancer. He passed peacefully while surrounded by family at his home in Omaha.
Paul served in the Air Force for 22 years. He reported for basic training in June 1981 and retired in September 2003 with the rank of Master Sergeant. During his career, he held technician and supervisory positions in Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL). After his retirement, he worked for the VA Medical Center in Omaha for 17 years.
In 1987, Paul married Tammy in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Torrington High School in 1978. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Bellevue University in 2006 and obtained his master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Bellevue University in 2016.
He is survived by wife, Tammy, of 34 years; daughters, Emily, Leah and Rachel; brothers, Tim (Becky) and Mark (Holly).
He was preceded in death by father, Eugene West, Jr (1986) and mother, Lucy Eleanor West (2020).
The memorial service will be held July 10, 2021, in Elkhorn.
