TORRINGTONFuneral services for Patrick W. Harris, 34, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Gordon officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Patrick died Oct. 18, 2018, in Casper. 

Memorials may be given to the general scholarship funds at either the University of Wyoming or Eastern Wyoming College. The casket will be closed. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com. 

Patrick was born Dec. 7, 1983, in Scottsbluff, Neb., the son of Bryan and Vicky (Hort) Harris. He grew up and received his early education in Torrington, graduating high school there in 2002. He attended Eastern Wyoming College, where he received an Associate’s Degree. He went on to attend the University of Wyoming, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and was in the honors program. He then attended Augusta State University where he received a Master of Science Degree in Psychology in 2008. 

He started work for the State of Wyoming in Torrington and later moved to Laramie. He moved to Casper, where he worked for the State of Wyoming in the Department of Workforce Services. He moved to Wisconsin where he worked for the State of Wisconsin Transportation Department.  He moved back to Casper in August 2018 to again work for the State of Wyoming Workforce Services.

Patrick enjoyed fishing, camping, baking, gardening, Halloween and was an avid collector of Harry Potter memorabilia.

Patrick is survived by his mother Vicky Harris of Torrington; his father Bryan Harris of Cheyenne; two sisters Rebecca Harris (Dave Mullins) of Riverton and Natalie Davila of Torrington; a brother Jeremy Davila of Torrington; his maternal grandmother Marcia Hort of Torrington; aunts Mantha Phillips of Buffalo, Andrea (Dick) Phillips of Story, Shanna Harris of Casper, and Kathy (Larry) Foltz of Torrington; uncles Merritt (Kathy) Harris of Douglas, Robert Hort of Harrisburg, Neb., and Steve (Tammy) Hort of Sterling, Colo.; his step-father Ramiro Davila; special friend Mary McMillan; and numerous cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William Hort; his paternal grandparents Dale and Ginger Harris; and an uncle, Mark Harris.
