TORRINGTON – Wee Pals Preschool’s 2020 Mega Bucks Bingo saw an increase in attendance this year, with one lucky winner taking home the $1,000 prize for the Blackout bingo card.
On Sunday, Wee Pals hosted its annual bingo day after parents and students gathered donations, sold tickets and made goodies for a successful event.
Community members who attended bid on silent auction items and had a chance at winning door prizes at various times throughout the day. Martin Anaya kept the games going as the bingo announcer.
All of the door prizes, the bingo games cash prizes and silent auction items were donated from various businesses around the community.
The $1,000 dollar blackout prize was won by Keely Schwartzkopf.
Parents ran the event, volunteering their time as floorwalkers, taking tickets and operating the concessions. The fundraiser is a way for the school to maintain a learning environment that keeps students learning with fun activities and arts and crafts.
Molly Moorehouse the Lead Teacher at Wee Pals Preschool said, “It helps us get through our year.”
