TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) has reported that no data was breached in the cyberattack which occurred on Tuesday, June 22.
According to the press release, “Officials at Eastern Wyoming COllege are pleased to report that no student or employee data was breached during the IT security event which occurred at the college on June 22.”
The press release also stated that forensic IT professionals working with EWC to conduct a forensic investigation on the attack have determined and confirmed that no breach occurred and any of the files taken during the event have been deleted.
EWC has had its phone and email services re-established at the Torrington and Douglas campus, but access to MyEWC services currently remain unavailable.
The report also said, “As new information and updates become available, the college will share those on the EWC website and social media accounts.”
