Torrington man in custody in connection with shooting

TORRINGTON – A Scottsbluff, Neb., woman was injured Friday in an apparent shooting.
According to a press release from Goshen County Sheriff Kory Fleenor, the victim was identified as Deedra Strauch of Scottsbluff. Strauch was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head after deputies responded to a report of an accidental gunshot shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.
The woman was taken to Community Hospital in Torrington and later transferred to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
According to communications traffic heard via police scanner Friday afternoon, the incident reportedly occurred on 6th Street in South Torrington. Nebraska law enforcement officials later arrested a suspect, identified as Terry D. Anderson, of Torrington. Anderson was reportedly taken into custody in Henry, Neb.
