TORRINGTON – Myron Paul Cecil, 74, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at his home, with family by his side.

Memorial services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, March 6, at East Gate Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Sparks and Pastor Rick Carroll officiating. Burial will be at a later date and the Colyer Funeral Home has assisted family with cremation.

Myron was born Feb. 19, 1945, in Scottsbluff, Neb., the son of Lillian (Lackey) and Melvin Lee Cecil. He grew up in the Lyman/Huntley area and he attended school in Huntley.

On Sept. 9, 1961, he married Gloria “Bonnie” Randolph. The couple raised their family in the Huntley area. Myron enjoyed farming and truck driving. In his later years, he was self-employed with Grasshoppers Lawn Services. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and took pride in his family. Myron enjoyed watching football and basketball, especially the Denver Broncos and UCONN women’s team. He also liked fishing, camping and playing horseshoes. Myron had a super sense of humor and wit. He had a unique and special relationship with each of his kids and grandkids. Myron had a wonderful relationship with The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed spending time in church and being with his Christian friends. 

Myron leaves his wife; four children, daughter Tonja (Lucio) Dimas, son Troy (Brenda) Cecil, daughter Heather (Karl) Arnusch and son Ryan (Melody) Cecil; two brothers, Larry (Gloria) and Tom Cecil; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson Randy Montague; granddaughter Kira Vickery and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
