TORRINGTON – The city of Torrington and the Homesteaders Museum have announced new hours for the Summer 2017 season.
New museum, located at 495 Main Street in Torrington, one mile north of the Historic Oregon Trail in the old Union Pacific Train Depot, will be open Monday to Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The museum is housed in the former Union Pacific Train Depot, which opened its doors to passenger and freight traffic in 1925. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it’s one of two Spanish-style rail depots remaining in the area.
The museum houses manuscripts, documents, photographs, and artifacts, along with pieces of homesteader memorabilia, all telling the story of the settling of
Goshen County.
