GOSHEN COUNTY – On June 29, 2019, the Goshen County Sheriffs Office responded to a call of a motor vehicle in a canal in the area of the dump. Members of the Sheriffs Office responded to the area, along with Torrington Volunteer Fire Department and Scottsbluff Fire Department Dive Team.
Through the investigation, it was discovered that a Goshen County resident was still in the canal. Members of the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department Dive Team located this individual.
Goshen County Coroner Darrin Yates identified the deceased as, Richard Johnson of Torrington, and notified family. The case is being investigated by the Goshen County Sheriff's Office.
