GUERNSEY – Funeral services for Michael Arndt, 63-year-old Guernsey resident who passed away at his home in Guernsey, will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lingle with Reverend Bruce McBurney officiating.
A private family interment will take place later. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow the services at the Community Presbyterian Church.
Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church at 200 3rd St. in Lingle, Wyoming 82223.

Michael James Arndt was born on November 13, 1958, in Torrington, to Richard Carl and Rose Maxine (Ross) Arndt. At an early age, Michael traveled with his family to Nebraska, Colorado and Alaska before returning home to Wyoming. Michael was raised in Fort Laramie and graduated in 1977 from Lingle-Fort Laramie High School where he was active in football, basketball and pep band as an LFL Dogger.
Prior to his graduation, Michael enlisted in the U.S. Army where his occupation specialty was as a mechanic for wheeled vehicles. Michael qualified as an expert in grenades and rifle and earned the rank of Sergeant. He received an honorable discharge and was discharged from Fort Ritchie, Maryland.
Michael worked for Garhart Trucking in Fort Laramie, both locally and over the road. He also worked for TranSystems doing sugar beet re-haul in Torrington, Worland and Sydney, Montana. In the summertime, Michael worked on construction jobs for TranSystems. On occasion, Michael would drive trucks for the local farmers in the area.
Michael was a member of the Fort Laramie Volunteer Fire Department and was active in other local organizations and town functions. He enjoyed fishing, collecting records and movies, and visiting with friends and family.
Michael is survived by his two siblings, Robin Miller and her husband Everett of Parkman, Wyoming and Brian Arndt of Sheridan, Wyoming; his nephew Tyler Miller of Parkman, Wyoming; and his niece Paige Galley and her husband Joshua of Omaha, Nebraska.
Michael was proceeded in death by his parents Richard and Rose Arndt.
