LINGLE – Memorial services for Maynard A. Pederson, 72, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 144 Leiter Avenue in Lingle with Pastor David officiating. Military honors will be conducted there. Maynard died Jan. 12, 2017, at his home and cremation has taken place. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
Maynard was born March 23, 1944, in Roseau, Minn., the son of Maynard and Emma (Melby) Pederson. He received his education in Minnesota. He joined the US Army and after his discharge he returned to Rapid City, S.D., where he started work for Harmon Glass and worked his was up to manager. He worked there for thirty-five years before retiring. He married Deb Bertrand on Nov. 10, 2004. They lived in Lingle and he worked part time for the Goshen County Unified School District.
Maynard enjoyed shooting pool, reloading, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and AARP.
Maynard is survived by his wife Deb Pederson of Lingle; daughters Lori Smith of Rapid City, Tracey Ozechowski of Colorado and Kimberly Bertrand of Firestone, Colo.; sons Tom Donner of Omaha, Neb., and Christopher Bertrand of Englewood, Colo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.
