TORRINGTON – Martha Isabelle Pyle passed away peacefully Aug. 3, 2020, at the Goshen Healthcare Community in Torrington.
Services were Aug. 9, 2020, in Torrington. Burial followed in the Franklin, Penn., Cemetery.
Martha Pyle was born Sept. 28, 1927. She was a long-time resident of Franklin. Before moving to Torrington.
During her retirement years, she was well known for her cake artistry, photography and paintings. She enjoyed traveling and lived a full and active life.
She was a faithful member of Franklin (Pennsylvania) Christ United Methodist Church for more than 60 years, and served in a variety of offices and on
different committees.
She is survived by her sister Sandra Firster, brother-in-law Ted Firster and niece Kimberly Craft of Torrington; other family members in the Torrington area are Adam and Sondra Ellis, Kevin and Ashley LaRue and Matthew and Tori Craft; She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews in Pennsylvania.
