LAGRANGE – Funeral services for Lyle Dale Ball, 82, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the LaGrange Bible Church with Pastor Tom Harves officiating. Burial will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery. 

Lyle died March 6, 2019, at the Goshen Healthcare Community. Memorials may be made to theMuscular Dystrophy Association. The casket will be closed. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.

Lyle was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Scottsbluff, Neb., the son of Cecil and Alice (Ward) Ball. He grew up in the Alliance, Neb., area, where he received his schooling. The family moved to Denver, Colo., and he later worked at the Mechanix factory for 17 years. He married and was later divorced. He moved to Illinois for a short time before moving back to Denver. He then moved to Wyoming, where he worked on ranches. He worked on the Petsch Ranch for 18 years. He met and later married Kay Tremain on Dec. 30, 1982 in Torrington. He retired in 1997. They lived in Torrington and then moved to Alaska in 2000 for four years and then moved back to LaGrange.

Lyle is survived by his wife Kay of LaGrange; three sons Dale (Amy) Ball of Palmyra, Ill., Bradley Ball of Glenrock and Russell (Verda) Ball of Wasilla, Alaska; a daughter Kelly (John) Clark of Palmyra; a step-daughter Vicki Snow of Anchorage, Alaska; two step-sons, Daniel (Terrill) Brown of Cheyenne and Steve Brown of Prescott, Ariz.; two brothers, Donald Ball and Cecil Ball; a sister Doris Moe; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Gordon, Verlin and Carl; and a sister, Irene Soss.
