To have known May was to have loved her. She was perfect in every way.

TORRINGTONMay Woyak died Dec. 25, 2019, at Banner Community Hospital in Torrington with her loved ones by her side. 

May was born Dec. 26, 1936, the daughter of Emma Churchill and John Thomas, in Ogema, Minn. She was the eighth of 11 Children. She married Franklin Woyak Sr . on June 4, 1955, in Mason City, Iowa. May moved to Wyoming in the 1960s. 

She loved helping people and was always bringing someone home to take care of. May enjoyed crocheting, bingo, music, dancing and making Indian jewelry. Most of all she Loved her family and church. 

In 1999, May moved back to the reservation in Minnesota. May returned to Wyoming in August 2018 to live with her daughter. 

May is survived by children Dan and Wayna Thompson of Reardan Wash., Robert and Nancy Cline of Cheyenne, Franklin and Rhonda Woyak of Torrington, Lester and Kathy Woyak of Scottsbluff Neb., Lyle Woyak of Torrington, Vernon and Belinda Woyak of Sandstone, Minn., Eddie and Linda Hill of Torrington, 23 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, brothers James and Russell Thomas and sister Lucy Hansen. 

She was proceeded in death by husband Frank Woyak Sr., five brothers, two sisters, four grandsons and one great-granddaughter. 

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at The Journey Church, 1701 East F St., in Torrington, with a celebration of life to follow.
