TORRINGTON – A Celebration of Life for Lucas Cameron Wise, 38, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at the Elks Club in Torrington.
Lucas died Sept. 29, 2017, at his home and cremation has taken place. A motorcycle procession from his home to the Elks Club will begin at 2:45 p.m. Memorials may be given to either Troop #26 of the Boy Scouts of America or to the family. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
Lucas was born Jan. 31, 1979, in Winfield, Kan., the son of Brian and Mary (Green) Wise. The family moved to Cody in August 1979. He started his education in Evanston. The family moved to Torrington in 1986 and he graduated Torrington High School in 1998.
Just after high school he met Sheena Will and they were married on Oct. 8, 2004. He worked for Doug’s Towing and Repair as a mechanic for a while and then built houses with Cottonwood Construction.
They moved to Rapid City, S.D., for a short time and then back to Torrington. He worked at the Sugar Factory before starting work for Herzog in 2004, where he was employed at his death.
Lucas enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of the Punishers LEMC, working on vehicles for friends and family, hunting and cooking. He was very involved in Troop #26 of the Boys Scouts of America with his oldest son.
Lucas is survived by his wife Sheena and two sons Owen and Evan Wise, all of Torrington; his father Brian Wise of Torrington; a sister Kate Wise of Winfield; his paternal grandmother Charlotte Wise of Winfield; his mother-in-law Pam Walsh; extended in-laws; and three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Wise; his paternal grandfather; and his maternal grandparents.
