TORRINGTON – Memorial services for Lois “Corky” Burke, 78, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brent Mullock officiating. Corky gained her angel wings Aug. 9, 2022 at Torrington Community Hospital and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to Bell Park Towers. Corky was born Nov. 28, 1943 in Lingle, the daughter of Clarence and Willa Lillie. She graduated from Lingle High School in 1961. She became a hairdresser, starting in her parent’s basement and then started a Beauty Shop with Sue Jackson in Lingle.
She loved helping others, artwork, animals and enjoyed her last years with her Bell Part Apartment family. Corky no matter wherever she was put a smile on people’s faces.
Corky is survived by her son Charles Harshberger Jr. and daughter-in-law Julie Miller Harshberger of Torrington; a sister Lola Joseph of California; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Willa Lillie; her daughter Lori Lee Siewert at birth; and great grandchild Landon Valentine.
