Locals shine at Kevin Salverson Invite in Cheyenne


CHEYENNE – Goshen County student-athletes of the indoor track and field, competing for Cheyenne Central High School traveled to Cheyenne for the Kevin Salverson Invite – a battle between the three Cheyenne high schools.

Cheyenne Central swept the team titles, topping Cheyenne East and Cheyenne South.

The indoor track and field teams return to Laramie on Friday, Feb. 8.

Boys

Nathaniel Woodruff - 2nd in shot put (49 feet, 4 inches)

Corbin Harris - 3rd in shot put (48-4.5)

Nicholas Sherbeyn - 6th in the 55-meter dash (7.36 seconds)

Brett Posten - 4th in the 55-meter dash (7.16)

Timothy Randolph - 15th in 800-meter run (2:37.14)

Luke Haas - 14th in 400-meter dash (1:08.15), 17th in 55-meter run (7.61)

Girls

Allison Brummell - 3rd in long jump (14-5.5)

Jordyn Gaspers - 9th in long jump (12-11.5), 5th in high jump (4-4)

Cora Frederick - 2nd in 3,200-meter run (15:15.9), 9th in 1,600-meter run (7:11.07)

Jenna Kaufman - 5th in 400-meter dash (1:13.54), 5th in 800-meter run (2:53.22)

Bridgette Lowther - 14th in 800-meter run (3:29.2)

Kelcie Lovercheck - 4th in 400-meter dash (1:13.05), 3rd in 800-run (2:48.64)
