TORRINGTON – The Torrington Trap Club hosted a local shoot Sunday, with a Wyoming winner in each category.
In the singles competition, which had 38 entries, Mark Sidman won the A division, posting a score of 93. Thomas Rezanina posted the best score in the competition, finishing with the B crown with a 97. Schilling won the C division (90), while Torrington’s Butch Dvorak took the top spot in the D division (89).
Moving to doubles, which had 28 entries, Cheyenne’s Steven Weinberger posted the best score with a 98, winning the A division. Sidman was not far behind, taking first in the AA with a 96. John McCann (B) and Rodney Dvorak (C) both posted an 88 to win their respective competitions. Butch Dvorak won the D division with an 82, while Rezanina (91) won the veteran class and Karen Schlager (79) took the lady’s division.
Timothy Schlager posted the top score in the handicap from 18-21.5 yards, recording a 99. Torrington’s Ellis Henry won the handicap shoot from 22-24.5 yards with a 95. Posting a score of 97, Rezanina took the top spot in the 25-27-yard handicap competition.
Local trap shooters, as well as shooters from across the state, will reconvene at the Torrington Sportsman’s Club on July 4-8 for the State Trap Shoot.
