Local gun club holds Labor Day Shoot

TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Sportsman Club hosted a trap and field shoot over the weekend with more than 70 entries.
Drawing competitors from multiple states, including Colorado and Kansas, the event had stiff competition. There were 29 entries in the 16-yard singles, 27 entries in the handicap division and 23 entries in the doubles division.

Results from the shoot are as follows:
16-yard singles: Champion – Ellis Yorges, Wheatland, 197; A – Gary Linderman, Lasalle, Colo., 196; B – Henri Yorges, Wheatland, 192; C – Don Washburn, Saratoga, 196; D – Butch Dvorak, Torrington, 159; Lady – Sandra Digesauldo, Littleton, Colo., 186; Junior – Logan Knaub, Laramie, 189; Vet – Ross Gordon, St. Francis, Kansas, 196.
Handicap: Champion – Teri Turner, Shoshoni, 281 at 19 yards; 18-21.5 – Henri Yorges, Wheatland, 279 at 20 yards; 22-24.5 – Sandra Digesauldo, Littleton, Colo., 265 at 22 yards; 25-27 – Nick Digesauldo, Littleton, Colo., 270 at 27 yards.
