TORRINGTON – No services are planned at this time for Linda (Davis) Smith, 71, who on the morning of July 25, 2021, passed away at Goshen Healthcare Community. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be buried in the Pine Bluffs cemetery. Memorials may be given to Peak Wellness in Torrington. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
Linda was raised by her parents Lew and Alice Davis since February 1950. She married Jerry Smith on Sept. 26, 1968, and they had two children Stephen and Jeffrey in 1969. She was a beloved wife and supportive mother while raising their children in Michigan. She was a very successful loan officer at Michigan Title for many years until they returned back to her childhood home in Torrington. She started a new career at Platte Valley Bank where she quickly rose to the position of Senior Loan Officer/Vice President until she retired in 2016. Not only was she financially savvy, but she was also a strong, compassionate, positive individual that made an impression on everyone she encountered.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry; and her two sons Stephen and Jeffrey. She is survived by her four grandchildren Bradley, Tyler, Cody and Stephanie; her great grandson Killian; and her two daughters-in-law Susan Piotrowski and Audrey Smith.
