TORRINGTON – Students at Lincoln Elementary School sang a song of thanks to local veterans in the gymnasium on Nov. 11. The program included students recognizing veterans during the assembly and a performance of the Star Spangled Banner sang by Tom Youngquist.
Each veteran honored during the program told the students their branch of service, years of service and who had invited them to the assembly. Around 30 veterans from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard were recognized during the program.
