CHEYENNE - House District No. 5 Rep. Shelly Duncan provides a legislative update for Thursday, Jan. 17:

"Majority of the Wyoming State Legislature

# of House Bills: 199
Total # of Active House Bills: 195

# of Senate Bills: 117
Total # of Active Senate Bills: 114

Total # of Bills: 316

I turned in my first bill dealing with subdivisions late last night HB196. Today in Corporations we are hearing HB101, HB146 & HB152. Our local County Clerk is in support of HB146 to remove personal names with salary postings. I’m in agreement with our Clerk and will be voting in favor of this bill. HB101 is about flexibility for the Northern Sheridan area not being serviced with natural gas currently and the statute language. Both our Rural Electric and the Gas Companies are in favor of this bill. HB152 is about underground public utilities & modifies requirements & exemptions.

Today we have 40 bills to hear:  (18) Committee of the Whole, (6) 3rd reading, (7) 3rd reading consent list, (9) 2nd reading."
