Another two by O’Connell gave the team a 14-13 lead and the Lady Lancers closed out the frame on a 6-2 run to lead 20-15 after the first frame. EWC was limited to nine points in the second quarter and the game was tied at 29 heading into the break.

A three by Bethel to open the third was quickly answered by a Lamar three, but Bethel knocked down another shot from behind the arc and the Lady Lancers didn’t look back, storming out to a 43-34 lead. At the end of the third, the home team was up 51-42 and they held on for the lead, outscoring Lamar 26-24 in the fourth.
